As I mentioned above, we have just returned from completing the Northern Traverse in Gros Morne National Park. It was the most difficult trek I have ever completed and quite frankly, it kicked the s**t out of me. Moving at only 1.9km/h for most of the trek, it took us 9 hours straight to complete our 12-14km days. Recovering from such a hike is a long process, and it's not always easy, so this week, let's look at some tips for recovering from a long hike or thru-trek.

Good Morning,

Did you miss us? It's been two weeks since the last Adventure Weekly Newsletter. We skipped a week while we were away at Gros Morne National Park in Newfoundland Canada. Our trip was amazing, as well as extremely challenging. We completed the Northern Traverse through Gros Morne National Park, and it was by far the most difficult trek I have ever done! I have a lifetime of stories from this one trip. Keep an eye on the Photo Galleries and our Facebook page for the soon to be posted photos!
As you can see below, we do not have many events planned for the remainder of 2024. There is much going on at the homefront and so events will be sporatic for the remainder of the year. For the time being, we have another upcoming Indoor Rock Climbing event at Climber's Rock in Burlington, Ontario, and a trip to Toronto's RV Show in Etobicoke, Ontario. I also hope to be able to organize a Thanksgiving hike and a Halloween hike that I will plan and post as soon as time permits.
That's all the news for this week.
Remember, the adventure never ends, it's just a change of location!
