What will you be doing?

Sunday, August 29th
Meet us at Harmony Outdoor Inn in Parry Sound and spend the day getting to know the facilities and the beautiful natural area. Later that afternoon, you will be assigned a Glamping tent (2 persons per tent) and given time to settle in, followed by a BBQ dinner at the Kitchen Pavillion. The evening will be yours to enjoy, but get a good nights rest, as we will have an early morning and a busy day tomorrow!
Monday, August 30th
After an early, filling breakfast we will head down to the river to take part in a Paddle Canada Basic Sea Kayak Skills course. We will spend 8 hours learning how to ensure our safety and enjoyment for the trip ahead. During the course we will have a quick break where you will be supplied a lunch at the Kitchen Pavillion. Once completing the course, everyone will receive their certification and after a shower and changing we can head back to the Kitchen Pavillion for dinner.

Tuesday, August 31st
We will wake early, enjoy a good breakfast, check out of Harmony Outdoor Inn and head out to Snug Harbour. Once we arrive and get our kayaks in the water, we will begin our 2 day paddling adventure along the beautiful coastline of the Georgian Bay and proceed to Franklin Island to set up a primitive camp for the night. Once we have established camp, enjoy a provided backpackers meal, a camp fire, and a well deserved rest under the evening sky. Climb into your tent and get a good nights sleep for the return journey in the morning.

Wednesday, September 1st
After a peaceful sleep under a starlit sky in the backcountry, we will wake up and have a simple backpackers breakfast of oatmeal, nuts and dried fruits, and a nice hot cup of tea or coffee. After which, we will break camp, pack up our kayaks and start paddling back along the coast heading for Snug Harbour and the end of our adventure.

The entire adventure will last 4 days, and will leave you with a feeling of accomplishment whilst providing many great memories with new and old friends.
